Solo Travel

Solo Female Travel Isn’t Brave

You don’t have to be fearless or daring to be a solo female traveller. It doesn’t require any special confidence or skill set. And it isn’t scary or dangerous with just a dash of common sense sprinkled in.

Solo travel builds confidence and self-esteem, especially for girls and women who aren’t always looked to to stand on their own two feet as much as boys and men. But we need to know we can take care of ourselves, too. Travel does that by forcing us to constantly make choices to keep moving us forward.

GROUP vs. SOLO TRAVEL
It’s not that travelling solo is better, it’s just different. When we’re with our loved ones or BFFs, there is a total network of support surrounding us 24/7.

Group travel is different from having to navigate the world on our own. Solo we need to rely on our gut, intelligence, sense of intuition, and sometimes our trust in others to see a day through.

Solo travel is exciting, enriching, and addictive! It forces us outside our comfort zone and demonstrates our true grit.

FINAL THOUGHTS
For me personally, I’ve been solo travelling for 30 years and can’t imagine life without it.

Don’t get me wrong, the times I can travel with friends or my daughter or mom are moments of pure bliss and I love them. But my soul also needs to recharge from time-to-time and sometimes only thoughtful reflection, an exotic location, and a little adventure can do the trick!
